My Favorite Stethoscopes

A common question I get asked all the time is “Which stethoscope do you prefer”? So, today we are talking all about my favorite stethoscopes and why I recommend them. I have worked in the medical field since 2010 and have always had a stethoscope by my side. Since the start of my career in the field I have only used two different stethoscopes. Trust me when you purchase a good quality stethoscope it will last you for years! The two I have purchased are the 3M Littmann Classic III and MDF MD One Stainless Steel Dual Head Stethoscope.

How I Prepared for NCLEX-RN

The NCLEX-RN is the last and final test to reach your goal of becoming a Registered Nurse. Once you graduate from nursing school (which is already such a huge accomplishment) this test will be used to determine your competency.  To pass the NCLEX you should create a study plan and gather materials. You should already have a good foundation from nursing school. What’s in my clinical bag?

Clinical experience is a major part of all nursing programs. This is your opportunity to take what you learned in the classroom and apply it to real life. You will also see a lot of things they do not teach you in school. You will do everything from performing a bed bath, taking vital signs and assisting in procedures. Every week before I go to clinical I grab my bag and get prepared. I have to make sure I have all my supplies and paperwork in order so that I can be effective and prepared for the day ahead.
