I am back with another super simple delicious recipe you need to try! One of my bucket list items this Fall was to make my own PSL! I love all things pumpkin but sometimes when I get a PSL from certain coffee shops they upset my stomach. So instead, this year I opted to make my own! Making your own means you can tweak the recipe to suit you. This means less calories and less sugar.
This recipe is very simple and very flexible. Tweak it and play around with the ingredients to suit your liking. I have made it a few times and each time I change it up. I use less milk and just toss in amounts that sound good to me. You also do not need espresso. Brew up a cup of coffee and use that if you don’t own an espresso machine.
I have poured the whole amount into a cup of espresso which I found was too much for me to drink. I like to pour a small amount into my coffee and use the remaining amount throughout the week. Kind of like using a creamer.
2 cups of milk of choice (I used unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
1 tbsp white sugar
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup 100% pumpkin puree
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 shots of espresso or any amount of coffee
Mix all ingredients together in a microwavable bowl microwave until hot.
Mix with coffee or espresso.
