Hello Monday, we meet again! Last week I felt blah most of the week. I am determined to have a different mindset this week. I felt down over things I could and could not control. I am sure you have heard of the following quote….

That is my quote this week.
I have half a work day today because I have a doctor’s appointment. I am trying to catch up on overdue visits. It is a part of self care ❤✨ My job is doing CPR recertification this week and mines is today. So I get to do that then do some triage and then I’m out!
I had some downtime between work and my appointment so I did some reading.
My mother in law gave us some leftovers so we ate them for dinner. Turkey, german peas and stuffing. I also ate a salad on the side. I love days when there is no cooking.
We drink a lot of water in our house and my husband does not like the tap water. I personally don’t mind it but he won’t drink it. We were purchasing gallon jugs but decided to finally buy a water cooler. We got this one off Amazon and it is bottom loading. It is more expensive upfront but in the long run it will be worth it. We have a local grocery store that we can fill up the five gallon jug for $1.
I got a new protein shake sample in the mail on Monday so I used it as my lunch for Tuesday. I was not sure what to think about it at first but I actually enjoyed the taste. I think it actually tastes like fruity pebbles cereal. I also like the consistency. If your curious how I got the sample I am a member of Bzzagent and they send you products you can review. My husband surprised me with a new meal to try for dinner. We mostly eat ground turkey and chicken and meals can get repetitive. He made this meal and it was delicious😋
Nothing eventful happened Wednesdays and I didn’t take any photos.
Thursday was a rough long day 😪. I did try something a little different for breakfast. I usually eat oatmeal and fruit but decided to put some plain nonfat greek yogurt in the mix. I cooked it normally with water then added 1/4 cup of yogurt. It wasn’t bad. I did this because I have yogurt I need to get rid of 🤪
Happy Friday 😊 I have to work today so I am sad that I won’t be able to take barre class today. On a happier note my husband and I are going to dinner tonight to celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary 💕 I will not be taking photos because I wanna give him and us our full attention and enjoy the moment.
So I lied a little. I ended up taking a few photos 📷
The restaurant we went to has a frequent diner card that we use. It is great because for our anniversary they gave us complimentary half a dozen roses on the table and complimentary dessert. It is a really nice restaurant that we enjoy dining at.
Saturday we added some final touches to our patio. We added side rails to our steps. We ordered them online and installed them ourselves. It was so dang hot out though! The heat was exhausting. I ended up falling asleep for a few hours after we got done.
Sunday I went to yoga which I always find to be peaceful and refreshing. I then came home and repotted some of my propagated plants. I usually kill plants so we will see how this goes. I had the stems sitting in water for weeks until the roots started to grow. Today I transferred them into soil. Fingers crossed they do well.
I also finished reading my Audrey Hepburn book 💕 so I am starting a new book. I’ve had this book for years and have started and stopped it so many times. I need it in my life right now so I am going to read it and this time complete the dang thing.
