Valentine’s Day Recap, What I Wore for Valentine’s Day & Dinner

Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️ I hope you had an amazing Valentine’s weekend and day. Whenever you decided to celebrate. If you don’t celebrate that is cool also. Today I wanted to share a Valentine’s Day/Weekend recap.

I used to post weekend recaps more often but honestly life can sometimes be boring and routine. Since we had a sort of holiday this past weekend I took a few photos and wanted to share.

I did a bit of unplanned shopping on Friday. I purchased a few new pieces for my wardrobe. I will be sharing a haul post in the near future of the pieces but I did wear the new jeans and top for Valentine’s dinner.

I am not fashionable by any means. I am a jeans and t-shirt type of lady. I can not even tell you the last time I owned a button up shirt! I even tucked the blouse in! I have been trying to step out of my boundaries lately and dress nicer.

I was so excited to wear my new jacket. I purchased this months ago and it is on my list of wardrobe staples. I am so happy with the jacket and it was a great purchase. My goal with my closet is to have timeless pieces and this definitely is timeless.

Dinner was amazing! We went to a restaurant called The Capital Grille. This was our second time there and it never disappoints us! We purchased a bottle of wine which was delicious. I stuffed myself with delicious seafood. We ended the night with some espresso.

The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing and resting. I woke up Saturday not feeling well. We ended up booking a vacation which we are very excited about. Another surprise was we stopped at our local jeweler and my husband got me a new wedding band too add to my current rings. This was planned but was not suppose to happen a little later in the year. Closer to our 9th wedding anniversary. So I got an early anniversary gift. I was very spoiled this weekend! My husband surprised me with this beautiful orchid also.

How was your weekend? Did you celebrate Valentines day?

I have so many comments! I LOVE the blouse–it’s so Molly Ringwald! Orchids are my spirit flower…so delicate, finnicky, and beautiful without being over the top. Your other flowers are GORGE! And capital grille–YUMMM! Glad you had a nice day 🙂
