Looking for some frugal date night ideas for you and your partner? Just because you are on a budget or trying to watch your money does not mean you should forgo date night! Dating your spouse or partner helps build your relationship, keep communication open and keep the romance alive! Today I am sharing some frugal date night ideas that will not break the bank.

1. Prepare a Meal Together
My husband and I do this often and we recently just made pizza at home! It was so simple but so much fun! Pick a meal out together and cook that meal with your partner! Enjoy the meal with a nice bottle of wine.

2. Go for a walk
Find a park and just walk and talk. This is a great way to get some exercise and also get some alone time.
3. Learn a New Hobby
A great example of this is candle making! I wanted to learn how to make candles and a few years ago my husband gifted me everything I needed. Since then we have had nights where we make candles together. It is so much fun to create something with someone you love.
4. Play a Game
Board games, video games, internet games. There are a lot of options. If your partner is into a specific game, play it with them! You might enjoy it and if not I am sure they will enjoy the company! Try to find a game you both enjoy playing and make it fun!
5. Binge Watch a Show
Snuggle on the couch and binge watch a new show you both have never seen. You could even make a themed show or movie night! Binge watch some horror or comedy movies. Make some popcorn and snacks at home for a fun night.
6. Work a Puzzle Together
My husband and I have done this and we even framed the picture! It now hangs in our workout room. It was a fun challenge and every weekend we did a little at a time together.

7. Window Shop
Head to the mall or any store and window shop. My husband and I use to do this and we would discuss items we each liked and how we would use them in our home.
8. Wine Tasting
Pick up a few bottles of inexpensive wine or find a local winery that does tasting. Most are inexpensive and this is a great way to try something new. You may even discover that you love wine!

9. Take a Drive
There is so much to explore out in the world. Sometimes on my drive to work I notice a road and wonder “Where does that road go?” Well both of you can jump in the car and just drive. Discover where that road leads. Drive around and look at houses and the beautiful scenery. There is so much to discover.
10. Take a Day Trip
Pack up a lunch and all the essentials and take a day trip. You can head to the local park for a picnic or to the beach.

Preparing a meal with my boyfriend is my favorite ☺️

My partner and I do a lot of these. He does want me to play video games and I’ve tried but my interest is just not there. One compromise I made is now one of his game-based anime shows is in our tv rotation. And I force myself to tell him that I find it interesting and I ask questions. It’s really hard though…lol.
