This weekend went by so fast but it was so beautiful and relaxing. It was the perfect Fall weekend, the sun was shining, it was cool and leaves have started to fall. I have not done a weekend recap in a while so this is pretty exciting and welcome back to my blog.
If you missed my last post, I have decided to take a break from social media, which I will link below. So far that has been going great. Along with not going on certain social platforms I also have been trying to limit the time I spend on my phone. This includes not whipping my phone out just to snap photos when I am enjoying a moment with someone. So I did a lot of things this weekend that I did not take photos of. I want to have moments I can enjoy without feeling the need to whip out my phone.
I had off work Friday which gave me the perfect opportunity to do some organizing. I purchased baskets off Target that were on sale for $6 each for my bathroom closet. I was a little worried since I ordered them offline but thankfully they were sturdy and made well. I love them and they fit perfectly into my closet. I love the way they look and they hold all our products. It makes the closet look clean, organized and put together.
I also picked up some command hooks from Target to hang my hats. Granted, I only own two hats but I love the look of hats hanging on the wall and it is a great way to save on space. I purchased medium clear so they are less noticeable and blend into the wall.
Later in the evening, I met up with some coworkers for happy hour. It was such a good time and I truly enjoy the people I work with. During the Fall time if I go to a restaurant and they have something pumpkin I am all over it! I had to try this pumpkin white Russian and it was so worth it! It was AAAAaaaamazing! This is something I need to try and make at home.
My official weigh in day is Saturday morning and I did well all week. So I was very happy to see I was down one pound. One pound down and one pound to go will I am at goal.
My in-laws came over for dinner Saturday night so we could plan an upcoming getaway we are doing. I am not going to share the details here but eventually I will do a blog post of our adventure. Dinner was amazing and we had some drinks and I even purchased a mini pumpkin spice cake! So yummy.
The rest of the weekend was spent relaxing, taking naps and cleaning the house. They recently re-opened a Sonic restaurant near us so the husband and I ran and treated ourselves to some slushies. It was nice to spend time with my family and husband and be away from the phone.
