It’s Okay To Take A Blogging Break

Blogging is fun, heck that is why I do it. I enjoy the process and the creativity and it gives me an outlet to express myself. But blogging can also be hard. There is so much work that goes into each post. Photos, research, writing and then promoting. If this is your full time job then it may be a little easier because you can focus all your time on your job. If you blog and are like me then this is a hobby because I have a full time job and blog in my free time.

Many bloggers including myself feel a constant need to churn out new content. To stay on a schedule, get new photos, and interact with others. It is time consuming and can be exhausting. So, there may come a time when you start to feel burnt out and are at a loss for what to create. Or you may be consumed with what is going on in your real life that you are not motivated to focus on your blog. That is where I have been at this past week.

Maybe you noticed or maybe you did not but this past week I hit publish once! My last blog post was a weekend recap of my trip to see my family. The day I am posting this I would normally be sharing a weekend recap again but I did not document anything over the weekend and I was not motivated to share anything. I had to pull myself together just to type up this post.

My break was unintentional but it was needed because I needed to take care of myself first and refocus.

What about you? Have you ever taken a blogging break? What are your best tips for someone who plans on taking a break?

blogging should never be hard, or too time consuming, if you are not a professional blogger, making tons of money with your blog.
