Welcome back to the blog and if you are new here, Welcome! This post is a weekend recap which I do every Monday. I do this to reflect on my weekend and also as a journal so I can look back at memories. If you are reading this then that means another weekend has passed.
My weekend started like it does every weekend. Saturday morning weigh in at Weight Watchers. I was extra nervous for this weigh in because it was the last one for the month of June. I created a goal for myself and that was to be out of the 160’s range and hit into the 150’s. I was nervous because I have been hoovering at 160 and was unsure if I would be able to break it. Well, good news is I actually weighed in at 157.4 pounds! I was super pumped. I had a feeling I would because I decided to weigh myself at home (I don’t weight myself at home often and I do not count it). That morning with no clothes on I weighed 155 pounds and with clothes on I was 157 pounds. So now I know if I weigh at home with clothes it is accurate to what I will weigh in at. Good to know! I am very happy with where I am at right now and my next goal is to get to the low 150’s and reassess. I took some photos of myself Saturday morning just to see where my body is at. Not gonna lie I was feeling myself and I am proud of my progress. I decided to try on a pink Nike shirt that I purchased 7+ years ago but haven’t worn in forever because it has been too tight. Well it fit perfectly! I am glad I never decluttered it.
After my weigh in I met up with my girlfriend and we went to a local state park for a walk to get some exercise in. She is also on her own weight loss journey and she is following the keto diet. I decided to take Millie with me because she needed to get some energy out. Plus, she is my baby and I want to take her more places with me. I did not get great photos while I was there because I was more concerned watching Millie and making sure she was not trying to eat random junk off the ground. I was so proud of her and she did so well. This local park has kayaking where you rent one and can go out into the water. My friend mentioned wanting to do it and I have always wanted to try it so that is what we are gonna do next time we hang out. I love having such a good friend that wants to try different activities with me.
After the park we decided to grab some food and coffee at a local cafe that had outdoor seating. I was a little nervous at first because I have never taken a pet to a place to eat. I even called the place prior to make sure it was okay. Again, I did not get many photos or any cute photos because I was focused on keeping an eye on Millie. She was so well behaved and pretty popular with everyone. I really enjoyed myself and now want to take her everywhere with me. I was good and got an iced coffee and a bowl of fresh fruit and had a few bites of my friends omelet.
I washed my hair this weekend and opted to go heat less. This is me au natural. This is my hair natural which I actually like after I wash it but I can not seem to keep it looking fresh and nice after that first wash. I have such a hard time managing my hair like this. This is why I straighten it because I can manage it.
I also spent some time working on the blog. Because the weekend is my time to catch up and get some work done. I created these functional adorable printable goal sheets that I will be sharing later this week.
Saturday night we had some delicious cocktails. My husband made these last weekend but we did not have all the ingredients. So we picked up what we needed and made the drink Perrier Paris N5. I will include the recipe below and how we made it because there were some ingredients that we just where not gonna get. I will link the original recipe <here> and I will share how we did it below.
– 4 fresh raspberries
– 1/3 oz fresh lemon juice
– 1 oz St Germain liqueur
– 1 oz Hennessy Cognaac
– 1 oz chilled Perrier
The ingredients that we did not have or decided not to use are Chanel No5 eau de parfum and edible soap.
Fill a shaker 3/4 of the way with ice cubes, add the fresh raspberries, lemon juice, St Germain liqueur and Hennessy. Shake well then add the 1 oz of chilled Perrier. Stir well, strain and pour into a cocktail glass. Enjoy!
Sunday morning we made breakfast. I took forever debating if I wanted to grab breakfast out or eat at home. We ended up eating at home which was probably for the best. There is a new crepe restaurant that recently opened up near us that we want to try. My husband loves crepes but unfortunately it does not open till 10 am and we were ready to eat hours before that. So we will have to check it out another time. I decided to put a wedge of Babybel cheese on my toast and it was so delicious! Not sure why I did not think of this sooner. It was so creamy and yummy!
As I am typing this it is around 10 am and I plan to spend the rest of the day working on blog, cleaning the house and getting ready for the week ahead! Happy Sunday to you and I hope you had an amazing fun filled weekend!
