Last week I officially turned 35! I can not believe it when I say how old I am. I do not feel my age but what does that mean anyway? Sometimes I still say to myself “I’m so old” or “I can’t believe how old I am” but my husband says it best “it is a blessing”. He reminds me that it is a blessing to be alive and age. He is so right! So many people have lost their lives so young and here I am blessed with another day 🙏 So cheers to me and YOU for another day we get to breath and have more time with the ones we love.

That being said I think in my short time on earth I have also learned a lot. Reality check ✔ Here are 35 things I have learned in my 35 years. Some may be common sense and some are hard truths.

You are responsible for your own happiness.

It is okay to ask for help.

Everyone won’t like you and that is okay.

Comparision is the thief of joy.

Things are never as bad as they seem.

The present is a gift.

Do not take yourself so seriously.

Do the best you can.

Relationships take work and effort.

Money can not buy happiness but it helps.

Be present.

You may fail many times before you suceed.

Be grateful for what you have.

Make sure you know your priorities.

Stop caring what other people think of you.

Stop apologizing for everything.

Your body is a temple. Treat it accordingly.

Let go of what no longer serves you.

Family is more important than anything but do not let family take advantage.

Do not rush your life.

Make time for self care.

Take time to self reflect.

Never make assumptions.

Friends come and go.

Take the vacation.

Drink more water. Your body will thank you.

Be your own cheerleader.

Its a bad day, not a bad life.

Fresh air and a nice walk can solve a lot of problems.

You can’t change people.

Nobody cares.

Do what makes you happy.

Priorities matter.

Just do the thing.

Chasing happiness will lead you to misery until you realize that happiness is the way.

‘It’s a bad day, not a bad life.’

That’s such an important one to remember. We often get affected by what is a tiny part of our entire lives. Great post here. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for reading! Your comment is very true. Many times we forget how good we have it. Bad things happens but we can’t let them define us.
