Inspirational Quotes & My favorite quote//Day 2

If you had to pick one quote which would you pick? What words bring you inspiration, motivation and make you want to live your best life? Something that can pull you from the depths and get your head in the game? Think about it for a minute.

So today’s blog post is all about my favorite quote. It is extremely hard to pick just one because there are so many amazing inspiring words that move me. Surprisingly, I was able to narrow it down quickly because I already had one in my mind.

“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”

Maya Angelou

This quote is powerful when you break it down. If you don’t like something that is happening in your life then change. If you don’t like the path you are on then it is up to you to make the change. Nobody is going to do it for you. A great example and something I recently did was join WW (weight watchers) I did this because I have been unhappy with my weight for the past few years and needed to make a change. Even though I joined because I want to lose weight I also want to get healthier and take better care of my body. Either I could continue to complain about it and feel sorry for myself or I could make changes to better my life.

If whatever is going on in your life is making you unhappy but you can not change it then maybe you need to change how you are viewing the issue. Maybe the universe is telling you that you need to change your outlook. Find something positive in the situation. Find a way to explore the positive aspects. For instance, in my post 10 facts about me I talked about a pet peeve of mines. People who are late! It drives me nuts but I can’t make people be on time. There is nothing I can do to change their mindset. So instead of getting frustrated I tell myself “I can’t not control others but I can control how I react.” Then I move on with my life.

Many times things will happen in our lives that we can not control so we either make an effort to make changes or we change how we view things. The choice is yours.

Since it can be hard to pick just one quote I thought I would share some others that I find inspiring. If the quote I picked doesn’t motivate you then maybe one of these will. If you had to pick one quote what would it be?

“My mission in life is not merely to survive but to thrive and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.”

Maya Angelou

“Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”

Dale Carnegie

“Sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us.”

Nicole Reed

“Note to Self: You can’t control how other people receive your energy. Anything you do or say gets filtered through the lens of whatever personal thing they are going through at the moment. Which is not about you. Just keep doing your thing with as much integrity and love as possible.”

“Sometimes you just have to appreciate where you are. You came a long way and you’re still learning and growing. Be grateful for the lessons.”

    “Be grateful for the lessons.”

I like all of your inspirational quotes, but I especially love the line above. I need to remember that more often when I get in a snit about things not going my way. There’s always something to learn.

Yes you are so right! Hardships usually have a lesson and we can grow from them! They make us stronger 💪 it can be hard to take it as a lesson but if you don’t then you aren’t allowing yourself the grace to grow from it.
