Started off with a big accomplishment! I am down 5 pounds! I always get a little nervous before weighins and that is something I need to work on. This week was a proud moment because I hit my first milestone.
My husband wanted to grab breakfast that same morning. Eating out is hard as heck because it can practically be impossible to track. We went to a small local restaurant and I did the best I could. I was not able to track it properly but I just did what I could. I got 2 eggs scrambled, hashbrowns and turkey sausage. I skipped on the toast. Normally, I would order an omelet and drench that sucker in ketchup. Small changes are whats gonna make a big difference.
Some food I want to share with you this week are an amazing filling coffee and sour cream alternative! First, lets talk coffee because I love coffee. If you have been on weight watchers for a while then this first one may come as no surprise because it is very popular and for good reason. Take your favorite flavor of Premier Protein (mines is caramel) and go to Starbucks and order this. “Two shots of espresso in a venti cup with ice.” Simple enough. Then take your Premier Protein and pour it into the espresso! And just like that you have a creamy, delicious, filling drink that is worth 2 pts. It fills me up and keeps me full and I love the flavor. You can even make it at home and save the money. I believe it cost me just under $2.00 for the espresso when I order it from Starbucks.
This last treat is something I actually saw a coworker do and at first I thought it actually seemed gross until I tried it. Cook a sweet potato (I cook mines in the microwave). Use a fork to stab a few holes in the potato and cook for about 5 minutes on high. Make sure you turn it every few minutes and keep an eye on it. Instead of using sour cream switch it out for non fat plain Greek yogurt. For a whooping 0 pts on the purple plan. I had no idea this was a thing and it is actually really good!
